Job summary

C&W Services in Keene, NH is seeking a Cleaner for 1st shift to carry out a range of custodial duties in facilities under supervision. You will clean floors, surfaces, restrooms, glass, and common areas, following established standards and procedures.

No prior experience required for basic cleaning; you will receive direction and work as part of a team. The role involves operating standard cleaning equipment, basic safety, and reporting maintenance issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
• Must be able to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Use a portable vacuum cleaner - backpack style.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and surfaces (inside buildings).
• Operate floor buffers and shampoo machines including attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot clean rugs and dust furniture.
• Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors and interior/exterior walls; daily spot cleaning.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily; damp wipe glass, empty bins, and clean fixtures.
• Report defects to supervisors (e.g., clogged urinals, lights out).
• Collect building trash daily and replace liners.
• Sweep or shovel snow from entrances and walkways as directed.
• Perform periodic high dusting and cleaning of leather/wood surfaces.
