Job summary

AdviniaCare Providence is seeking a skilled Day Shift Cook Supervisor to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. You will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service and experience for our residents and support a safe, efficient kitchen operation.

The ideal candidate has prior kitchen experience, ability to cook large quantities for 160 residents per meal service, and a food handler certificate with knowledge of geriatric diets.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience; preferably in a Nursing Home setting.
• Experience cooking large quantities to feed 160 residents per meal service.
• Certificate or associate degree in culinary arts; cooking preferred.
• State food handler certificate and knowledge of geriatric diets.
• Experience using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Capacity to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for residents
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation
• Follow food storage procedures
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Oversee dietary aides on day shift.
