You will lead a team of cooks and servers, develop resident-focused menus, manage inventory and budgets, and collaborate with nursing and activities staff to ensure coordinated care. A culinary background and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Food Service Director or in a similar role.
• Strong culinary background with knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of cooks, servers, and other food service staff to ensure seamless daily operations
• Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents, with a focus on quality, presentation, and nutrition
• Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
• Conduct regular food safety and sanitation inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with nursing and activities departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Monitor and control labor costs, ensuring efficient staffing levels and scheduling
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including menu planning, inventory management, and budget tracking
