LRSolutions, LLC in the Atlanta area has an opening for a day-shift Controls Technician. The role involves designing, integrating, and commissioning automated equipment, building PLC panels, and programming controls from scratch.

You will troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and robot controllers, while supporting maintenance tasks and safety circuits. The position offers attractive benefits, including a 401K with matching and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Desire at least 6 years of related experience.
• PLC programming with confidence in using context clues within the PLC program.
• Comfortable programming a machine process from scratch.
• Comfortable wiring a 9-lead motor, and stress testing windings.
• Identify critical info from motor data plates for components like contactors, soft starters and VFDs.
• Familiarity with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, and dry contact.
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V signals.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting.
• Panel building.
• Electrical experience.
• Some robotic experience.
• Safety circuit integration.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Pneumatics: Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
• Hydraulic: Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with valves, accumulators, cylinders, flow controls and valves.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Use knowledge of fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operating the equipment or overseeing the operation of equipment.
• Analyzing and categorizing events within the equipment.
• Working closely with engineers and production to help achieve a desired output.
• Conducting preventative maintenance, such as routine upgrades and inspections.
• Repairing machine controls, systems, and tools as needed.
• Disassembling (or re-assembling) equipment to repair or replace defective parts.
• Training others to install, use, and service equipment.
