Job summary

Medcor in Decatur, IL is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Clinic Manager at our employer-based occupational health clinic. This leadership role combines hands-on nursing with clinic operations oversight, patient care, and collaboration with client leadership to maintain quality, safety, and efficient workflows.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm with potential extra coverage; compensation $38.00-$45.00/hour depending on experience and

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN or RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to operationally lead and support a clinic team.
• Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
• Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag.
• Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable balancing clinical care with administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations, workflows, staffing, and scheduling.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to onsite clinic staff.
• Manage staffing coverage, timecard approvals, and general administrative responsibilities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between Medcor, clinic employees, and client leadership.
• Maintain strong relationships with client Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Human Resources, and Benefits teams.
• Help ensure clinic operations meet Medcor's standards for quality, safety, and patient care.
• Assess, triage, and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor's evidence-based clinical protocols.
• Provide first aid and respond to workplace medical emergencies.
• Support workers' compensation case management and Return-to-Work (RTW) programs.
• Coordinate with outside medical providers to support treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and workplace injury documentation.
• Accurately document patient encounters using EMR.
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer health screenings.
• Assist with Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
• Support employee wellness and injury prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with client leadership to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
• Provide excellent customer service and help create a positive healthcare experience for employees.
