Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Customer Service/ janitorial representative in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on cleanliness, sanitation, and customer-facing service. Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with an hourly pay of $16.00–$17.00.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, following safety protocols, reporting hazards, and maintaining a professional appearance while addressing customer needs. Some driving between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid driver's license may be required based on business needs.
• Employees driving as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable MVR and meet driving eligibility requirements.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• May be forklift certified.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.
• Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
