Job summary

IU Health North Hospital is seeking Certified Surgical Technologists to join our fast-paced surgical team. You will assist in pre-op setup, intraoperative support, and post-op turnover, ensuring sterile technique and instrument availability for a wide range of procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, NBSTSA CST certification within four months, BLS, the ability to adapt to advanced tech, and ongoing CEUs.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma/GED.
NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist within four months of employment.
Requires Basic Life Support Certification.
Ability to resource advanced technology.
Requires 15 continuing education units annually as required by state law.
Knowledge of various surgical procedures to anticipate surgeon needs within 12 months.
Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
Strict adherence to sterile field policies.

Responsibilities

Assist before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring proper presence and arrangement of equipment.
Support the surgeon and OR team to maintain efficient workflow.
Oversee turnover of the operating room and proper processing of specimens, equipment, and supplies.
