Job summary

IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, IN is seeking Surgical Resource Technologists to join its fast-paced surgical team. The role supports before, during, and after procedures, ensuring proper instrument and equipment availability and turnover of the OR.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma, NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist, Basic Life Support, and 17 CEUs annually, with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Perioperative preceptor training is required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• 17 continuing education units annually required.
• Preceptor training / modules completion required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Surgical Technologist or related role.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation in the operating room.
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by standards.
• Assist in turnover of the operating room following procedures, including handling specimens and equipment.
