Job summary

Final Mile is seeking a Cargo Handler to load and unload freight from trailers in a safe, timely manner. The role requires frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight, with accurate staging and auditing of next day routes.

Qualifications

• Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
• Able to accurately stage and audit next day routes.
• Use handheld scanners to track freight across the network.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for loading and unloading freight on trucks and trailers.
• Safely load and unload trailers and trucks using approved equipment.
• Use handheld scanners to track freight throughout the network.
• Accurately stage and audit next day routes.
• Label boxes and prepare freight for shipment as required.
• Verify documentation and condition of freight to ensure quality standards.
• Check-in and unload freight.
• Recoup/restore damaged freight when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
