Job summary

KLN Family Brands, based in Perham, MN, is seeking a Day Shift Panning Operator to manage the mixing of candy-coated licorice flavors, packaging, and sanitation across the production line.

The role involves following production schedules, operating panning and packaging equipment, conducting sanitation checks, recording measurements, and reporting issues to supervisors. Strong math, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and forklift certification are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• General mathematical ability and ability to perform measurements.
• Ability to learn and follow a defined sequence of procedures.
• Strong hand-eye coordination for precise packaging.
• Good teamwork and communication with colleagues.
• Forklift operation knowledge and safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow weekly and daily production schedule.
• Operate panning, polishing and packaging equipment.
• Inspect all equipment for sanitation and food safety purposes and complete pre-start up paperwork.
• Conduct setup, adjustment and movement of equipment for processes.
• Process product to required specifications making sure to measure out all ingredients.
• Report any problems with materials or equipment to the Production Supervisor or Quality Control.
• Perform quality checks as assigned.
• Inspect and record all ingredients used, Inventory Duties.
• Clean and perform maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Weigh out and record waste at the end of each shift.
• Turn all required paperwork in to Production Supervisor after ensuring it is complete and accurate.
