Job summary

KLN Family Brands in Perham, MN is seeking a Licorice Cook for the day shift to support production of licorice and mogul gummy flavors. You will mix ingredients, perform quality control tests and sanitize work areas and equipment.

The role may rotate between licorice and mogul gummy tasks to meet production needs. Requires basic math, good hand-eye coordination and reliable team collaboration. Profit sharing and a strong benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement skills for formula ingredients.
• Ability to operate and monitor candy production equipment.
• Willing to follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixing, cooking and extruding equipment for licorice and starch gummy lines.
• Inspect equipment for sanitation and food safety, complete pre-start up paperwork.
• Process product to required specifications and measure ingredients as per formula.
• Report problems to Production Supervisor or QC.
• Communicate with Bagger Operator on downtime and remaining finished goods.
• Communicate with Mogul Operator to ensure proper supply of product.
• Perform quality checks as assigned.
• Inspect and record all ingredients used.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Weigh and record waste at end of shift.
• Submit paperwork to Production Supervisor.
