Job summary

MRCI is hiring a Day Service Specialist in the Apple Valley, MN area. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with some flexibility. Candidates must live within 15 miles of Apple Valley and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities include developing community-based, person-centered day service plans, providing direct support, documenting progress, transporting clients, and engaging with the community. Benefits include a company vehicle and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Compassion and sensitivity to individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based office software.
• Must live within 15 miles of service area.
• Valid driver’s license and space for overnight parking of company vehicle.
• Home workspace with reliable internet and privacy.
• Must pass a Department of Human Services background study.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individualized community activities to promote independence and social interaction.
• Provide direct support to clients, including personal care, medication administration, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Document daily progress and services provided.
• Transport clients using a company-provided vehicle.
• Engage in community outreach and utilize technology to support your work.
• Work independently and collaboratively with a supportive team.
