Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Program Supervisor I for the Day Programs. This role leads the day programs and supports residents at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, ensuring effective programming and staff oversight.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams, develop SAPs and training materials, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. This position requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an education, management, human services or a related field.
• Experience with day/vocational programming and leading or supervising staff.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must pass background checks, drug screen, and registry checks per HHSC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops, establishes, and evaluates day programs and services in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Writes procedures and manuals to enhance program implementation and effectiveness.
• Develops the schedule for day programs to meet SSLC operations and resident needs.
• Supervises staff in the day programs department and ensures proper coverage.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team processes and attends ISP meetings.
• Ensures compliance with DOL standards and SSLC policy and maintains inventories.
