Lifesteps is hiring a Day Program Substitute to work at the Adult Training Facility in Beaver, PA. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

You will help adults with activities including basic life skills, community participation, transportation, and crafts, while maintaining a safe environment. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPI certification, and CPR/First Aid or the ability to obtain them

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Driver’s license with ability to travel using an Agency vehicle.
• CPI certification provided by Lifesteps.
• First aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Preferred: 1 year experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.

Day Program Aides - Part-time - Monday through Friday

POSITION SUMMARY

Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of program participants! The Disability Services Day Program Aide is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as basic life skills, community participation, transportation, vocational skills, crafts and fun activities.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of the adult participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred

• One year experience working with individuals with disabilities in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal care attendant, TSS, etc.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other major
