Lifesteps, Inc. is hiring two Part-Time Day Program Aides / Instructor's Assistants for the Beaver, PA location. The role centers on direct care and helping participants with life skills in a supportive classroom setting.

Responsibilities include transporting participants, documenting progress, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment. Prior CPI training and CPR/First Aid certification are required or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• CPI certification is required and provided by Lifesteps.
• First aid and CPR certification required or obtainable within six months of hire date ( Lifesteps provides training).
• Current driver’s license with ability to travel for business and proof of auto insurance.

• Provide direct care and participant support in a classroom style environment.
• Assist adults with intellectual disabilities or autism in activities focused on life skills, social engagement, and personal growth.
• Drive and transport participants using Agency vehicle for community-based learning and activities.
• Observe and report participant progress; complete daily documentation; maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Support scheduling and accommodate part-time shifts (9:00–2:00), with possible flexible scheduling.

Lifesteps is hiring two Part-Time Day Program Aides / Instructor's Assistant for the Beaver, PA location.

Position Summary:

The Day Program Aide / Instructor's Assistant is responsible for direct care and participant support for special needs adults in a classroom style environment. Staff assist clients who have intellectual disabilities or autism with activities focused on life skills, social engagement, and personal growth. Examples are: arts and crafts, music and movement, cooking and nutrition, money management, and group outings in the local community.

Day program aides drive and transport participants, using an Agency vehicle, into the community for learning, engagement, and sensory friendly activities.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of participants, complete daily documentation, and maintain a safe and clean environment.

The Position is Part Time, Monday through Friday. No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays.

Shift is : 9:00 to 2:00

Part-time hours are available also, with flexible scheduling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months of hire date - provided by Lifesteps
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle and proof of current auto insurance

Preferred:

• One-year experience working with individuals in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal attendant, TSS, caregiver, etc.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other major
• Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE) or Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) certificates are desirable, but not required
