Job summary

Communitas in Wakefield, Woburn, and Beverly, MA seeks a Day Program Skills Instructor to teach adaptive daily living skills and enhance work abilities through classroom and community services.

You will mentor individuals, develop ISP plans, plan community activities, and provide personal care as needed. Pay is $18 per hour; hours typically 8am-4pm, with full-time and part-time options; benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• BA degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Pass company background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Teach adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Mentor individuals and assess needs, create and implement ISP plans.
• Plan and oversee community-based activities.
• Provide personal care and assistance as needed to help individuals reach goals.
