Job summary

PathPoint is excited to welcome full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our ACCESS Day program in the San Fernando Valley, CA 91325. You will lead in-person, community-based, and virtual classes, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build life skills and independence.

Qualifications

• Patience, compassion, and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their families, and others in a positive and constructive manner.
• Must have a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Teach individuals social and life skills to help them lead more independent lives.
• Teach individuals vocational skills to help prepare them for entry-level employment.
• Supervise individuals during hours of instruction and on community outings and volunteering.
• Build friendly and professional rapport with individuals and act as a positive role model for work habits, communication skills, and social skills.
• Prepare weekly schedules, monthly training projections, and written progress reports.
