Job summary

PathPoint is seeking a Per Diem Direct Support Professional for the Pathfinder Day Program in Northridge, CA. This DSP role supports adults with developmental disabilities, utilizing ABA principles in classroom and community settings.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-4pm with 7–35 hours per week, starting pay $26.25/hour, and a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient, team-oriented care. Responsibilities include reinforcing positive behaviors, managing triggers, following behavior support plans, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BA in Psychology or related field preferred.
• Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or mental illness is preferred; knowledge of ABA is a plus.
• Must pass DOJ criminal record clearance and TB/health screening; valid driver’s license with satisfactory DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Encourage positive behavior and celebrate new skills daily.
• Identify environmental triggers and plan to avoid them; deescalate when needed.
• Follow treatment and behavior support plans and report barriers to success.
• Create supportive physical and social environment and maximize choices for individuals.
• Assist with personal hygiene, feeding, lifting, toileting and range of motion.
• Provide medication support and maintain medication/health records.
