Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our Day Services Team. The Day Program Counselor (Without Walls) role is community-based, requires independence, and involves transporting members in our vehicles to activities such as bowling, shopping, and events.

We offer flexible hours with no weekends or overnights, opportunities for both part-time and full-time employment, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NYS Driver's License in good standing.
• Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage independence in all aspects of daily life.
• Collaborate with your team to plan, create and assist with activities and opportunities to meet the needs and interests of the people you support.
• Provide any necessary direct personal care to the people we support.
