Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Senior Day Program Counselor in the Capital Region, NY. You will document and provide services to individuals supported, aiming to promote independence and community inclusion within day program plans.

The role may include acting as Team Leader and potentially directing staff assigned to the program area, contributing to meaningful daily activities and self-determination for participants.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of job-related experience with people with developmental disabilities or related field.
• Associate's degree or two years of college may be considered in lieu of 1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document and provide services to the individuals they support.
• Promote independence and community inclusion.
• Implement day program plans and opportunities for self-determination, independent activity, increased productivity and inclusion.
• May function as a Team Leader for each individual and may oversee staff.
