Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region and North Country is hiring Day Program Counselors to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through meaningful activities both onsite and in the community. No prior experience required; paid on-the-job training is offered.

Various shifts with part-time and full-time opportunities provide flexible hours, holidays, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• NYS Driver's License in good standing is preferred for some sites.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage independence in all aspects of daily life.
• Collaborate with your team to plan, create and assist with activities and opportunities to meet the needs and interests of the people you support.
• Provide any necessary direct personal care to the people we support.
