Job summary

OTC Services is seeking a Center Supervisor to support daily operations at the Community Access Center in Burlington, NJ. The role involves stepping in for the Supervisor when absent, guiding staff, and ensuring safe, person-centered activities for participants.

You will assist with medication administration, maintain compliance with policies, and coordinate transportation and emergencies. This position requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, with on-site work in a setting

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age eighteen (18).
  • Successful completion of all DDD required training and compliance with standards as defined in the DDD SE/DP Manual.
  • Acceptable background check and drug testing.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Duties include bending and lifting.
  • Ability to perform CPR and First Aid on ground level.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes the role of the Center Supervisor in their absence.
  • Assists the Program Supervisor in ensuring individuals meet objectives/goals.
  • Assist the Supervisor in overseeing medication administration and recordkeeping.
  • Audit participant files for compliance and coordinate with providers and guardians.
  • Ensure the CAC facility is clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Record and monitor daily attendance, vehicle logs, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate emergencies, medical and transportation issues with staffing compliance.
  • Provide participant-centered activities and educational training to enhance abilities.
  • Assist with staff delegation and lead when supervisors are unavailable.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff and manage conflicts.
  • Arrange staff coverage for vacancies and PTO requests.
  • Transport consumers to residence and community outings, ensuring safety in vehicles.

Description

  • Assists the Program Supervisor in ensuring that individuals are provided the opportunity to obtain meet objectives/goals.
  • Assist the Supervisor in overseeing medication administration, including compliance with all procedures and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Assist with auditing participant files for compliance and follow up with providers, guardians and Support Coordinators for needed paperwork.
  • Ensures that the CAC facility is properly maintained, clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Records and monitors daily attendance records, vehicle logs and other required documentation.
  • In conjunction with the Supervisor, handles all emergencies, medical and transportation issues and staffing compliance in a safe and proactive manner and in accordance with all policies/procedures. Responsibility includes full compliance with Danielle’s Law and SK Law.
  • Provides participants with person-centered activities and educational training to enhance functional and cognitive abilities and skills. Introduces new and innovative programs to maximize growth and development.
  • Assist the Supervisor in the delegation of all duties amongst staff members.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff members. In conjunction with the Supervisor, provide support and redirection to staff and intervene when necessary with staff conflict or other staffing issues.
  • Assist Supervisor in securing staff coverage for vacancies and PTO requests.
  • Transport consumers to and from residence and various community outings. When driving individuals will ensure individuals, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory, and equipment are properly secured in the vehicle. If a bus aid or other staff member secured individual(s), will double check wheelchair tie downs and seatbelts to ensure all passengers are properly secured in the vehicle prior to driving.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age required eighteen (18).
  • The successful completion of all DDD required training as defined in the DDD SE/DP Manual and compliance with all applicable standards as set forth in the manual upon the date of hire.
  • Acceptable background check and Drug Testing.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record as set by OTCs insurance carrier.
  • Duties include bending and lifting.
  • Ability to perform CPR and First Aid on ground level.
Necessary Special Requirements
  • Employee will be required to complete all clearances as necessary per regulatory requirements.

Summary

The employee will assist the Supervisor in the daily operations of the Community Access Center and provide quality consumer programing. The employee ensures that individuals served are provided with a variety of community and facility-based activities in a safe and professional manner. Will perform all duties necessary to meet state approved objectives, including the requirement that employees cooperate with the licensee and Division staff in any inspection or investigation.
