Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services seeks compassionate caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities in our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in full, and no prior experience is required.

Responsibilities include direct care, monitoring health and safety, assisting with daily activities, transporting clients in a company van, and supporting community outings with the individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with MV record requirements (no OVI/ DUIs; max 2 moving violations in 2 years; <=5 points).
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of their life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company van.
• Participating in community outings through transportation and assistance of the individuals served.
