Overview

Day Porter – Preschool (Part-Time) at 360clean | Complete Facility Care. Location: Austin, Texas 78756. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Compensation: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team at a preschool. The Day Porter maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment for young children and staff throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchen, and common areas
• Monitor and restock supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.)
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report major issues to the supervisor
• Support staff with immediate cleanup needs (e.g., spills, accidents)
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the day
• Ensure outdoor play areas are tidy and safe; power wash tables 2–3x per week
• Follow all health and safety protocols, especially in childcare environments
• Respond promptly to requests from staff regarding cleanliness and safety
• Power wash outdoor eating areas 2–3x per week or as needed
• Monitor high-traffic areas and pick up litter throughout the day
• Event preparation and takedown (organizing classrooms, gym, and outdoor areas for events 2–3 days per week)
• Follow Day Porter scope of work provided upon employment (as needed or assigned)

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Friendly and professional demeanor
• Must pass background check and meet state/local requirements for working in a childcare facility
