LOT Commercial Property Services is seeking a Day Porter in Oceanside, CA. This part-time position involves keeping properties clean, safe, and welcoming across assigned sites.

You will be on foot outdoors, with duties including trash removal, surface cleaning, restroom upkeep, and reporting maintenance needs. The role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish, written and verbal.
• Familiar with using a mobile device for time keeping and document review.

• Physically active and comfortable outdoors.
• Experience in janitorial/custodial or porter work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and sills.
• Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills and graffiti.
• Walk the property to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Use all required safety equipment.

What You’ll Do

As a Day Porter, you’ll be the eyes and ears of the property, making sure everything looks its best:

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills
• Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness
• Report maintenance or repair needs to your supervisor
• Always use required safety equipment (we’ve got you covered!)

What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you are:

• A strong communicator in English or Spanish – both written and verbal
• Familiar using a mobile device (such as cell phone or tablet) regularly for time keeping and document review
• Enjoys providing friendly customer service
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Physically active and enjoy being on your feet outdoors
• Experienced in janitorial, custodial, or porter work (preferred—and not required!)
