Job summary

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a Full-Time Day Porter at our La Canada Flintridge site. You will keep the property clean, presentable, and welcoming for customers and tenants throughout the day, and you will report maintenance needs to your supervisor. This 30-hour-per-week schedule runs Monday through Saturday, 6:00 am to 11:00 am.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication, written and verbal.
• Friendly customer service mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

• Experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles; sweep, mop, and dust surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas; wipe windows and doors.
• Remove debris and inspect cleanliness across the property.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Always use required safety equipment and follow procedures.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for occupants.

What You’ll Do

As a Day Porter, you’ll be the eyes and ears of the property, making sure everything looks its best:

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills
• Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness
• Report maintenance or repair needs to your supervisor
• Always use required safety equipment (we’ve got you covered!)

Requirements

• What We’re Looking For

You Might Be a Great Fit If You Are

• A strong communicator in English or Spanish – both written and verbal
• Familiar with using a mobile device (such as a cell phone or tablet) regularly for timekeeping and document review
• Enjoys providing friendly customer service
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Physically active and enjoy being on your feet outdoors
• Experienced in janitorial, custodial, or porter work (preferred—but not required!)

Physical Requirements

• On your feet throughout the shift
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking stairs and large properties regularly
