Advanced Building Maintenance Inc. is seeking a dependable Day Porter to keep our facility in Honolulu clean, sanitary, and well-organized for visitors and staff. You will perform routine cleaning, disinfect high-touch surfaces, manage waste, and assist with event setups as needed.

Ideal candidates have janitorial experience, strong attention to detail, and the stamina to stand and lift for extended periods. Flexible day/evening shifts and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reorder cleaning supplies with supervision.

The Day Porter will ensure that our facility remains a welcoming and sanitary space for visitors and staff.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of all common areas, lobbies, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.Empty and properly dispose of trash and waste according to established guidelines, which can include outside and around the building.Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced team.Qualifications• Previous janitorial or custodial experience, [preferably in a medical or healthcare setting].• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.• Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment.• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.• Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required.Health Screenings & Other Requirements (if applicable)Background checks will be conducted in accordance with applicable lawPhysical/ Health Screen Pre-PlacementDrug Screen (10 Panel)Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
