Job summary

CCS Facility Services seeks a Day Porter to maintain clean, orderly common areas in Chandler, AZ. You will perform routine tasks, spot-clean glass, vacuum, empty trash, and assist staff to keep lobbies presentable.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm. The ideal candidate is punctual, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions while supporting building management.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates safety awareness and proper use of cleaning equipment.
  • Follows instructions and supports management directives.

Responsibilities

  • Spot clean the lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors.
  • Vacuum elevator cabs, wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily.
  • Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles and vacuum lobby daily.
  • Sweep stairwells, entrances, and remove debris from landscaped areas.
  • Report lights out and solicitors to Management Office; police lobby as needed.
  • Vacuum carpeted floors and dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
  • Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.

Job Details

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

  • Spot clean the lobby glass doors
  • Polish chrome on lobby doors
  • Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
  • Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
  • Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
  • Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
  • Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
  • Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
  • Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
  • Sweep building entrances
  • Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
  • Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
  • Report any solicitors to the Management Office
  • Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
  • Vacuum carpeted floors
  • Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
  • Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
