Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain clean, orderly common areas in office buildings and other facilities in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, spot cleaning, and routine upkeep according to established schedules and safety guidelines.

The role requires punctuality for early shifts (Mondays and Thursdays, 5 am–6 am) and ability to report maintenance issues to the Management Office.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual for early shifts.
• Dependable and able to follow instructions and schedules.
• Understanding of basic safety procedures and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day.
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up trash.
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Vacuum lobby daily as needed.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances and remove smudges on walls and doors.
• Report lights out and solicitors to Management Office.
• Policing lobby to keep floors/planters free of paper at high-traffic times.
• Vacuum carpeted floors and dust mop lobby floors daily.
• Polish elevator cab railings, doors, and lobby call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.

A janitor is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
• Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office
• Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
