CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain common areas of office buildings, apartments, and other facilities in clean and orderly condition. Tasks include lobby cleaning, carpet care, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and reporting maintenance needs to management.

The position emphasizes punctuality, dependability, and adherence to safety guidelines while performing routine cleaning duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs, wipe doors, walls and tops twice daily.
• Inspect exterior, empty trash receptacles, and clean restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby daily and sweep stairwells and entrances as needed.
• Report lights out and any safety concerns to Management.

Job Details:

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Check restrooms twice daily
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
• Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office
• Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion
