Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and order of common areas in office buildings and other facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning lobby glass doors, polishing chrome, vacuuming elevator cabs, inspecting exteriors, and cleaning restrooms.

Qualifications

• Attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Reliability in completing tasks and following directions.
• Safety and security procedures must be observed.
• Able to work in typical office/building maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day.
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up trash.
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances.
• Clean and remove smudges on walls, doors, and wall coverings.
• Report lights out to Management Office; report solicitors as well.
• Policing lobby during high-traffic times; manage trash and debris.
• Vacuum carpeted floors; dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors; main lobby call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.
