Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role supports a customer-service oriented environment, beginning at 6:00 AM and running through 2:30 PM, with the goal of presenting a professional and safe workplace.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow established protocols, and collaborate with the shift lead to address daily punch lists. No formal education is required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
  • May require a valid driver’s license and forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and chemicals, and safe handling practices.

Now Hiring: Day Porter (Customer Service Rep)
Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Shift: 6:00AM-2:30AM

Job Overview

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform janitorial duties
  • Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
  • Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
  • Perform repetitive tasks
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
  • Take direction and respond to supervision
  • Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
  • Fill in during staff shortage
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction
  • Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Qualification

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bilingual a plus

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
