Job summary

SBM is seeking a reliable Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial duties, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure daily upkeep while following safety and company protocols.

The role requires basic reading, strong communication, and a willingness to work in a team with supervision. The shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a pay range of $15.00–$16.00 per hour and SBM benefits.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license and safety/task training certification.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment as directed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area and report incidents.
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures.

Job Overview

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Education and/ or Experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• May be required to have a valid driver's license.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• May be required to be forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
