Job summary

Ohel Children's Home and Family Services in Brooklyn, NY is seeking compassionate staff for its Day Habilitation Program to empower adults with disabilities to develop life skills and participate in their communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid NY or NJ driver license (or ability to drive a 15-passenger van) strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and basic computer skills.

• Help individuals achieve personal goals and live self-directed lives.
• Lead activities to build independent living and community participation.
• Assist with ADLs while promoting dignity, choice, and respect.
• Accompany individuals to volunteer sites and community activities.
• Complete documentation and progress notes on time.
