Job summary

WWAARC is hiring an Assistant Program Director for the Day Hab program in Slingerlands, NY. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm with a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch, based on program needs. Pay is $25.00/hour plus longevity in a non-exempt position.

The APD will train and support staff, oversee daily Day Hab operations, and ensure participants are safe and supported in the program and community. Strong leadership and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license that meets insurability standards; strong driving history preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and lead staff.
• Excellent communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Krumkill Day Hab to ensure safety and support for participants.
• Train, educate, and support program staff.
• Supervise and lead staff to meet program goals.
• Ensure regulatory and agency standards are met in documentation and service delivery.
