Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. in Glenmont, NY is hiring a TEMPORARY Day Residential Advisor to keep dormitories safe, clean and orderly during class hours. You will monitor student living areas, assist with inspections, and support staff to ensure a positive residential environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid in-state driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Prior Job Corps experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.
• Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for students to achieve positive attitude and proper behavior in dorm living to accomplish goals.
• Determine, arrange student visits to counselor as needed.
• Assist in unit activities, including unit government.
• Patrol dormitories and center to ensure safety and proper behavior; address issues as they arise.
• Prepare the daily operations report, pass list, and other administrative notes related to students.
• Direct students and assist in cleaning and maintenance of the dormitory.
• Maintain student files and ensure all required documentation is complete and updated.
• Enter student case notes in the center information system.
• Support career development services and mentoring within the dorm.
• Overtime work as directed; regular attendance required.

Education
