Independent School District 15 is seeking a Day Cleaner/Custodian for East Bethel Elementary School (EBES). The role covers 261 duty days annually with pay per hour within two ranges and a higher rate for boiler-licensed applicants. Starting pay reflects prior experience where applicable.

• A qualifying boiler license is required for placement as Custodian.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, push and pull equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate positively with staff, families, and the public.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, entrances, hallways, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip, finish, and maintain floors as assigned.
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, fixtures, drinking fountains, and high-touch surfaces.
• Maintain adequate custodial supplies within assigned areas.
• Inspect assigned areas and identify cleaning, safety, or maintenance concerns.
• Submit or report work-order needs through established District procedures.
• Assist with building security, including checking doors, windows, and other assigned areas.
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, furniture, and equipment for school activities, events and lunch.
• Assist with snow and ice removal, including sidewalks, entrances, and other assigned areas.
• Perform boiler checks when assigned and properly licensed.
• Assist other custodial staff and provide building coverage when directed.
• Respond to spills, emergencies, safety concerns, and other custodial needs during the workday.
• Perform summer cleaning and other seasonal custodial work.
• Follow District safety procedures, policies, work rules, and supervisor directives.
• Perform other custodial duties consistent with the assigned classification.

Location: East Bethel Elementary School (EBES)

Salary: Per the Custodian Work Agreement : Cleaner, $18.51- $20.42 per hour; or Custodian (B21), $20.51- $22.42 per hour for applicants with the required boiler license. Starting pay within the applicable range may reflect credit for prior work experience.
