Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan ISD 196 is hiring a Custodian for evening shifts. Responsibilities include cleaning, routine maintenance, and grounds upkeep such as trash pickup and snow removal. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Prev custodial and routine maintenance experience preferred.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
  • Physically capable to lift up to 50 lbs and handle varied cleaning tasks.
  • Able to communicate clearly with staff, students and the public.
  • Desire to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality; no recent disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

  • Clean building areas and perform minor repairs and routine maintenance as directed.
  • Perform grounds maintenance including trash pickup, mowing, weed control, and snow removal.
  • Comply with recycling program.
  • Move and arrange furniture as needed.
  • Complete tasks in a timely, neat, and efficient manner.
  • Assist in securing the building at shift end and adapt hours for events.

Description

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Previous custodial and routine maintenance experience, preferred
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
  • Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
  • Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
  • Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
  • Must have positive work performance evaluations. Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
  • Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Custodian: $22.86 - 26.57 Hourly
