Job summary

Campus Services Group (CSG) at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a School Day Custodian to keep classrooms, hallways and restrooms clean and safe. You will perform daily janitorial tasks and support staff and students to maintain high cleanliness standards.

This position offers a Mon-Fri schedule from 7am to 3:30pm at 4075 Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA, with benefits including health resources and career development. Prior custodial experience is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial tasks in entryways, corridors, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, replenishing lavatory supplies as needed.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and remove graffiti.
• Use cleaning solutions safely, adhering to all safety precautions.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Assist with event support and respond to paging systems promptly.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Ensure customer service and cleaning standards are consistently met.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
