Job summary

Campus Services Group is hiring a School Day Porter to help keep school facilities clean and safe. You will perform daily janitorial tasks, work with staff and students, and maintain high cleanliness standards.

The role requires reliability, ability to stand long hours, and adherence to safety and vaccination policies as required by state and customers. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to follow safety and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
• Must be punctual, reliable and able to work with supervision after training.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies may apply as required by state or customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial tasks in entryways, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and replenish supplies as needed.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and address graffiti.
• Use cleaning solutions safely and follow safety precautions.
• Report equipment or product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Assist with event support and respond promptly to paging systems.

Role: School Day Porter

Join Campus Services Group (CSG) as a School Day Porter! In this role, you’ll help keep the school clean and safe by performing daily janitorial tasks. You’ll work closely with staff and students, ensuring the school meets high cleanliness standards. If you’re dedicated to providing great service and maintaining a tidy environment, we’d love to have you on our team!

Pay Rate

USD $17.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.

• Perform janitorial tasks in entryways, corridors, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, replenishing lavatory supplies as needed.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and remove graffiti.
• Use cleaning solutions safely, adhering to all safety precautions.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Assist with event support and respond to paging systems promptly.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Ensure customer service and cleaning standards are consistently met.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting is preferred.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.

• Must provide a criminal background check.
