Job summary

Mr. Greens in Austin, TX is seeking a Day Crew Selector to pick full-case grocery, frozen, and perishable items from warehouse slots using a pallet jack or forklift. You will stack and wrap pallets, then transfer them to shipping docks or load trucks for delivery.

Safety is a top priority as you work in multi-temperature environments. The role requires punctuality, physical stamina, and the ability to maintain tidy, organized picks and documentation for accurate orders.

Mr. Greens is seeking for a Day Crew Selector in Austin Texas.Overview:Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Texas. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.Summary:Mr. Greens is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Selectors that can work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will then fit the items on a pallet plastic wrap the bundles, transport pallets to a shipping dock and in some cases, load them onto a truck for delivery to customers. All employees are expected to make safety their top priority.Accountabilities:Perform general physical activities load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipmentPerform tasks in multi-temperature environmentsSelect merchandise for shipment and stack on pallet neatly by using a pallet jack or forkliftUse a pick sheet to find out individual items inside the warehouseBreakdown and restack merchandise from palletsVerify the quantity of the productsEnsure items pick accurately and safely to prevent damageKeep warehouse tidy by picking up scrap wood, paper, plastic wrappers, and broken palletsMaintaining a food-safe environmentReport any damaged equipment to shift supervisor or maintenance staffOther duties as assigned.Requirements:Required to be punctual.Forklift/pallet jack 1 yearMust Pass A Drug TestAvailable to work on weekendsPhysical Demands/ Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
