Job summary

American Senior Communities is hiring a Full-time Day Cook in Fishers, IN to prepare meals that meet residents' nutritional needs and follow established menus. You will lead kitchen tasks, maintain sanitation, and ensure proper storage of supplies while supporting a compassionate, resident-focused dining program.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 years related experience) with preferred sanitation certification and healthcare food service background.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or 1–3 years related experience.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Preferred: Prior institutional/healthcare food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals that meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area and adheres to sanitation standards.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies per department procedures and regulations.
