Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate recreational activities for children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents or guardians, employees, volunteers, and members of the public.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, resolve problems fairly, and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Previous day camp leadership experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and ensure participant safety.
• Plan, organize, and implement day camp programs and activities.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate day camp leaders and volunteers.
• Provide active supervision of participants and maintain a safe program environment.
• Communicate program information clearly to staff and guardians.
• Maintain program records and prepare reports.
• Monitor day camp expenditures and manage supplies within budget.
