Job summary

ImpactLife in Davenport, IA is seeking a Lab Assistant to support our Processing Laboratory. You will prepare blood donor samples for testing, perform quality control, and assist Bench Techs to ensure the right product reaches the right patient. This is a Full Time, 1st shift position with every other Saturday and holiday rotation.

We value detail, clear communication, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required; an Associate’s or Medical Assistant degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Very detail oriented with great accuracy.
• Great communication skills, and a team player.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; previous work in the medical field is preferred.
• Associate’s Degree or Medical Assistant Degree is preferred
• The ability to stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up-to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Lab Assistants prepare blood donor samples for testing, perform quality control testing and provide support to the Bench Techs to help ensure the right product gets to the right patient.
• Lab Assistants prepare components, release and label products, and prepare products for shipping.
