Job summary

rabbittransit is seeking a Paratransit operator to transport passengers in the Harrisburg area from 4 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires safe driving, patient assistance, and adherence to daily inspection protocols.

Compensation starts at $17.55/hr with advancement to $19.50/hr after 90 days; CDL with Passenger Endorsement can elevate the rate to $21.32/hr. This position includes a full benefits package and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Open availability Monday to Friday 4 AM–7:30 PM; no weekends.
• Regular driver's license required for all operators.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers and ensure daily vehicle inspections.
• Assist passengers with wheelchairs or mobility devices as needed.
• Keep accurate driving records and communicate with dispatch.
• Report to Site Manager/Operations Supervisor as required.

• $17.55/hr at time of hire, $19.50/hr after successful completion of the 90-day training and probationary period w/ regular DL
• $19.19/hr at time of hire, $21.32/hr after successful completion of the 90-day training and probationary period w/ CDL class A or B, with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Restriction lifted

Schedule: NO weekends! Monday - Friday Schedule. Note: Position requires open availability during all Paratransit operating hours which are: Monday thru Friday 4 AM thru 7:30 PM.

Throughout the day, our Shared Ride Operators safely and courteously transport passengers where they need to go. This is done by ensuring vehicles meet daily inspections, assisting passengers with wheelchairs or other mobility devices, keeping accurate driving records, communicating with dispatch, and reporting to the Site Manager/Operations Supervisor as needed.
