Trust in SODA is seeking a Regional Data Center Operations Lead for North America to own and grow our US data-center operations from the Dallas–Fort Worth site. You will lead a team of engineers, drive reliability, performance, capacity planning, and on-call readiness, and establish standards for expanding to new locations across the United States.
This role blends hands-on technical leadership with scalable process development, incident response, vendor coordination, and recruitment to build a
Regional Data Center Operations Lead — North America
AI is pushing the boundaries of what's possible with computing and the infrastructure behind it needs to operate at an equally exceptional level.
We're partnering with a growing technology business operating at the intersection of advanced computing and large-scale infrastructure to appoint a Regional Data Center Operations Lead. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical US operation, work with sophisticated compute infrastructure, and build the engineering capability needed to support an expanding footprint.
You'll initially lead operations at an established site in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, combining hands-on technical leadership with responsibility for reliability, team performance, and operational excellence. As the business grows, you'll help establish operations at additional US locations, develop future site leaders, and shape the standards and processes that underpin a scalable regional function.
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. You'll be close to the technology, making decisions, solving complex engineering problems, and setting the standards your team works to. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to build a high-performing regional operation, developing people and processes that can support increasingly sophisticated computing environments.
You'll take ownership of the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of US data center operations. Initially focused on the Dallas–Fort Worth site, you'll lead a team of engineers, establish clear operational expectations, and ensure critical infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.
The environment supports demanding, compute-intensive workloads, where hardware reliability, power delivery, cooling, and thermal management are fundamental to performance. You'll oversee complex hardware troubleshooting, component replacement, firmware-level fault isolation, and maintenance activities, while ensuring infrastructure is commissioned, tested, documented, and ready for production. You'll also manage capacity across power, space, and cooling, identifying constraints early and ensuring operational risks are addressed.
You'll build strong operational foundations across incident response, change management, asset tracking, maintenance procedures, and documentation. Working with engineering teams and external partners, you'll improve monitoring, lead root cause investigations, and turn lessons learned into measurable improvements. You'll also manage relationships with facilities providers, hardware vendors, and third-party support teams, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and service expectations are consistently met.
As the operation expands, your focus will increasingly shift towards regional leadership. You'll help build teams at new locations, lead recruitment, develop engineers into site leaders, and support commissioning and operational readiness across the United States. You'll establish consistent standards across locations while creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and automation.
The operation runs 24/7/365, and you'll initially participate directly in the on-call rotation and act as a senior escalation point for major incidents. As the team grows, you'll develop the technical expertise and leadership depth needed to distribute these responsibilities effectively, allowing you to focus increasingly on regional performance, team development, and expansion.
You'll combine strong technical expertise with the judgement and leadership skills needed to run critical infrastructure reliably and build a team capable of scaling with the business.
We're looking for experience in data center operations, critical infrastructure, or large-scale server environments, alongside a strong understanding of server hardware, fault diagnosis, component replacement, and hardware lifecycle management. You'll bring practical knowledge of rack-level power distribution, cooling systems, airflow management, and infrastructure capacity planning.
You'll also have experience leading engineers, managing critical incidents, improving operational procedures, and working with external vendors and facilities partners. You know how to balance hands-on technical problem-solving with people leadership, planning, and operational accountability.
Experience with high-density compute environments, GPU-based systems, AI infrastructure, or high-performance computing would be particularly valuable. Experience scaling multi-site operations and developing future engineering leaders would also be a strong advantage.
Above all, you'll be proactive, technically credible, and comfortable taking ownership in a demanding environment. You enjoy solving difficult problems, setting high standards, and building teams that deliver consistently.
If you're ready to combine technical depth with the opportunity to build and lead a growing data center operation, we'd love to hear from you.
