Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical/Mechanical/CS or Datacenter Engineering.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting hyperscale datacenters, high-density compute environments, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong domain expertise across datacenter systems: power distribution, cooling, rack footprints, monitoring platforms, and capacity planning.
• Proven track record leading operational readiness reviews (ORR), datacenter commissioning/handoffs, and developing SOPs.
• Direct experience managing DCIM tools, asset lifecycles, and datacenter infrastructure metrics/KPIs.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership, issue tracking, and executive communication skills.

• Lead ORR and handoffs for newly built datacenters, validating readiness gates and monitoring controls.

• Maintain high-fidelity asset data within DCIM and ensure compliance with SOPs, EHS, and ISO 50001.
• Conduct post-mortems and drive continuous improvement to scale frameworks globally.

Job description

We are seeking a Datacenter Site Operations Lead to drive operational governance, asset install-base visibility, compliance readiness, and cross-functional execution across our global portfolio. In this role, you will act as the critical operational bridge between Build, Platform, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Datacenter Critical Engineering Operations (DCEO-Ops), and Software Infrastructure teams. You will ensure facilities transition smoothly from construction completion into reliable, measurable, and auditable production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Governance & Install-Base Visibility: Oversee datacenter capacity utilization and physical footprint across space, power, cooling, and rack layouts. Own operational KPIs, reporting frameworks, and systems of record to provide real-time transparency into infrastructure health.Production Transition & Operational Readiness: Lead operational acceptance criteria (ORR) and handoffs for newly built datacenters. Partner with Build and Facilities leads to validate readiness gates, resolve blockers, and establish monitoring controls prior to production turn-up.Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the central point of coordination among Engineering, Cloud Platforms, DCEO-Ops, and SRE teams. Translate low-level operational bottlenecks into actionable technical decisions and executive-level updates.Data Integrity & Compliance: Maintain high-fidelity asset data within DCIM and tracking platforms. Drive adherence to infrastructure governance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), environmental health & safety (EHS), and audit standards such as ISO 50001.Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-mortems and transition retrospectives. Identify root causes of recurring operational gaps to refine standards, boost operational resilience, and scale repeatable frameworks globally.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Datacenter Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.7+ years of hands-on experience supporting hyperscale datacenters, high-density compute environments, or cloud infrastructure.Strong domain expertise across datacenter systems: power distribution, liquid/air cooling topologies, rack footprints, monitoring platforms, and capacity planning.Proven track record leading operational readiness reviews (ORR), datacenter commissioning/handoffs, and developing SOPs.Direct experience managing DCIM tools, asset lifecycles, and datacenter infrastructure metrics/KPIs.Excellent cross-functional leadership, issue tracking, and executive communication skills.Preferred QualificationsWorking familiarity with AI/HPC infrastructure topologies and large-scale GPU cluster deployments.Experience with ISO 50001 (Energy Management) or related infrastructure compliance and audit frameworks.Proven ability to orchestrate multi-team programs without direct functional authority across globally distributed teams.
