Job summary

COMPASS MINING, INC. Goldsmith, Texas, is seeking a Datacenter Technician I to join the Facility Operations team. You will help ensure 24x7 operation and security of critical infrastructure, performing routine maintenance and monitoring hardware across multiple facilities.

You will also assist with onboarding by installing servers and traveling to site inspections to keep assets safe and functional. The role requires a technical IT degree or equivalent certifications, 1+ years in a critical

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment.
• Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, security, and fire protection are preferred.
• IT infrastructure maintenance experience is desirable but can be acquired.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and hardware.
• Monitor hardware.
• Complete day-to-day tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Respond to and remediate equipment faults identified by customers or internal monitoring systems.
• Assist in the customer onboarding process by installing servers.
• Travel to mining facilities for site inspections.
• Maintain logs for service and maintenance on deployed assets.
