Job summary

Compass Mining is seeking a Datacenter Technician to join the Facility Operations team. You will help maintain safety and uptime of our critical infrastructure across multiple mining sites, performing routine maintenance and monitoring systems.

Working with onsite teams, you will install servers for onboarding, respond to faults, and log maintenance activity. The role requires a technical degree or certifications and a readiness to travel to mining facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications
• 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment
• Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, security, and fire protection preferred
• Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance is desired but can be acquired

About the role

We are looking for a Datacenter Technician to join the Facility Operations team who can marry chaos and structure with ease. This individual will be responsible for ensuring 24x7 continuous operation and security of critical infrastructure including all routine and preventive maintenance activities.

As a Datacenter Technician, you will work with the Facility Managers to maintain a portion of our company’s 40,000+ assets, facilities, and hosting partners to ensure that everything is safe and functional. Your duties include working with onsite teams and overseeing day-to-day facility operations.
