The Role:

High-profile SoC Platform Engineering team is seeking a hardworking system-engineering lab technician to help test the latest SoC products and contribute to issue identification, replication, and problem resolution. This role will be pivotal in bringing First Consulting’s next-generation SoC-based products into Data Center products.

The Person:

Technical Engineer II responsible for the deployment of NPI engineering projects involving AMD IP (Silicon, HW, SW) and debugging AMD server hardware infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering expertise to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographies.
• Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities.
• Deploy and maintain NPI server products while overseeing the efforts of other engineers and contractors.
• Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program.
• Rack and stack servers, cable management in AMD Data Center environment per defined guidelines.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, both written and oral
• High attention to detail and good follow-through in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in data center system deployment, software development, and validation.
• Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking
• Familiar with Jira or other ticketing systems
• Ability to function independently with little direct supervision.
• Physical Requirements – Candidate needs to be able to lift 50 lbs and be flexible enough to get under a raised floor as needed.
• Should be able to travel on short notice.
• Soldering skills and CompTIA certification are a plus.
